BBQ Time

Posted by Kim in General at 5:31 am | Permanent Link

We took advantage of the weather yesterday and had our first BBQ
much to the delight of Megan and Jamie…

The ball cube got yet another outing after some quick repairs and
provided a variety of games for the afternoon…the balls were
retrieved from various locations at the end of the night!!

The moon was a little dull….and then Steve’s ambient lighting came
on and hey presto…

Anti Smoking Car

Posted by Kim in General at 7:55 pm | Permanent Link

I am borrowing a brand new Corsa at the moment and noticed that
there are no ashtrays in the car at all. There’s an adapter port for
plugging in your tv, phone, etc…..but no lighter.

Another strike for the anti smoking campaigners….or is this in
preparation for when smoking is banned whilst driving?

What not to say to the nice policeman…

Posted by Kim in Fun at 5:06 am | Permanent Link

* I can’t reach my license unless you hold my beer.

* Sorry, Officer, I didn’t realize my radar detector wasn’t plugged in.

* Aren’t you the guy from the Village People?

* I thought you had to be in relatively good physical condition to be a
   police officer.

* Bad cop! No doughnut!

* You’re not gonna check the trunk, are you?

* Gee, that gut sure doesn’t inspire confidence.

* Didn’t I see you get your butt kicked on Cops?

* So, uh, you on the take or what?

* Gee, Officer! That’s terrific! The last officer only gave me a warning,
   too!

* Do you know why you pulled me over? Okay, just so one of us does.

* What do you mean, “Have I been drinking? You’re the trained specialist!”

Wonderful Weather

Posted by Kim in General at 1:48 am | Permanent Link

What a difference a bit of sunshine makes. We’ve had wonderful weather
this weekend.

I managed to get the garden tidied up. I hate doing the first grass cut of
the year, but it looks great when it’s done. Meg got some planting done,
she’s very enthusiastic at the moment rushing home to water them
tonight.

We had a very relaxing evening at Jan’s on Saturday. Wendy came
round and we were still sat outside at stupid o’clock playing daft games.

A very good weekend….shame the weather won’t last!

Did You Know…

An airplane mechanic invented Slinky while he was playing with engine
parts and realized the possible secondary use for the springs.

Get “playing” Dad you could make enough to buy that campervan

13-Year-Old Spends $2 Million On Ebay

Posted by Kim in General at 3:05 am | Permanent Link

A 13-year-old boy spent about $2 million from a school computer
buying a helicopter, a jet and other items over the Internet using a
password belonging to a friend’s mother.

The woman discovered the purchases the day the helicopter’s owner
called and asked how she intended to pay for the aircraft. She is having
the purchases cancelled. The $1.1 million helicopter is a used military
model. The boy has not made it clear what he intended to do with his
purchases.

……and I thought we were spending alot on Ebay!!
