Cinderella

We took Megan and Jamie to see Cinderella at the Opera House
in Manchester yesterday….click on cinders for more pics…

Brian Conley was hilarious. Costumes and scenery were spectacular.
We all had a great day. Definitely recommend you go and see this
if you get the chance.

FFFFFFFFFFreaky

QUICK Eye Exam…

This will blow your mind. Just do it – don’t cheat!
Count the number of F’s in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE
RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

Managed it?

How many?
Three?
Wrong, there are six – no joke!
Read again!

FINISHED FILES ARE THE
RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

This happens because the brain cannot process the word “OF”.
Incredible or what?

Anyone who counts all six F’s on the first go is a genius. Three is normal.

Hat Works

Posted by Kim in Fun at 5:36 pm | Permanent Link

I helped take Megan’s class to the Hat Works today. It’s the
first time I’ve been, it was very impressive.

The children made christmas decorations, a christmas pudding
and a spinner. They got a lot of enjoyment playing with some
old wooden toys…even though there were no controllers needed.
They finished off with a carol round the christmas tree.

The museum is very well run and we will be paying another visit
so I can have a proper look round (especially the shop) 😉

Celebration

Posted by Kim in Family at 10:16 am | Permanent Link

We went to the Legh Arms in Adlington last night for a meal
with my Mum, Dad, David and Heather to celebrate my Dad’s
Birthday. He was working on his birthday so we didn’t all
get to see him.

The food was excellent and an hour in the Wacky Warehouse
wore Meg out nicely.

Christmas Fair

Never again….going out on the razz when you’ve got to get
up the next morning to help at the school fair is not advisable.
I didn’t have a hangover I just wanted more sleep!!

Never mind it was worth it, I am pleased to say that along with
a few of the other parents we helped to raise over

Waggon Inn

While Steve and Mike were losing their hearing at the Linkin
Park concert, I went out with my mates from work.

We took a trip up to Uppermill to see an ex-workmate, who now
owns his own pub. I must admit I wasn’t looking forward to it,
but it turned out to be a very enjoyable night. Very good food,
plenty to drink and hysterical company.

We’ve decided to wait until the summer for our return visit, we
made it out just as the fog was descending.
