Hot Hot Hot!!!

Posted by Kim in Fun at 10:01 pm | Permanent Link

An update on last night…it was an excellent night. Good food, good
music and plenty to drink…what more could you ask for. A good time
was had by all.

Picked Meg up from my Mum’s, she’s had a good time too, didn’t get to
sleep until 10 though and up at 6 so she was a little trying later on.
But we had a good day, she helped me mow the lawn so that we could
spend the afternoon playing with the boules we’d bought earlier on.
Meg won, of course! We finished the day off with a trip to the park.

I’d promised Megan an ice cream from the ice cream man after tea and
we waited and we waited and we waited but no ice cream man. So a
promise is a promise…I took her to the shop to get one and wouldn’t
you know it just as we’d finished them the ice cream man arrived!!!

Boogy Night

The weekend starts here. Finished work, just had my hair done and
ready for a night on the town.

Off to a 60s, 70s and 80s night tonight with the gang from work.
Should be a good night…will let you know tomorrow…if I’m capable!

I’m back

Posted by Kim in General at 10:33 pm | Permanent Link

Had a short break due to technical problems…my computer was poorly.
It’s now all better, hopefully..thank you Steve.

Quick round up of the last few days. Saturday was another glorious
day so me and Meg took our bbq round to Jan, Mike and Jamie’s and I
topped up my tan. Megan and Jamie spent the afternoon in the paddling
pool…although Wendy ended up as wet as them and she didn’t even go
in 🙂

Sunday – a quick swim and an afternoon in the garden. I was very
pleased with myself for curing a leak in my car radiator…but this
was very short lived when I tried to turn my car around and it refused
to go into reverse which is a bit of a problem when the car is parked
face down on an inclining drive. OH NO not another problem!!

Monday straight to the garage who just changed my clutch and an hour
later it was fixed…NO CHARGE…it made up for the inconvenience and
it’s nice not to be ripped off for a change. Megan stayed the night at
Jamie’s. It’s nice to have time to myself, but I still feel totally
lost without her.

Tuesday – went and picked Meg up after work. She’d been very artistic
again with Jamie and they had redecorated the flags with chalk. Today
has been enjoyable. We did some shopping, painting, had our hair cut
and had tea at my Mums.

Well that’s a quick round up of the last few days, see you tomorrow.

BBQ

Posted by Kim in Family at 11:24 pm | Permanent Link

The weather held another day and it was round to my Mum and Dads after
work for the first bbq of the year. They had taken Megan for a walk
along the canal earlier on and she had collected some flowers for the
table…very nice. We stuffed ourselves, then relaxed in the garden
for the evening..a very pleasant end to the week.

Well the first housemate is out…Anouska is outta there..eleven to go.
Just been watching the aftermath and the ones who nominated her seem to
be the most upset…of course because they can’t discuss the nominations
they will be feeling it’s down to them alone that she has been voted out.
What nasty mind games this show plays with your mind.

And if you just have to have the Big Brother house look in your home, just
pop along to the BB4 website for further details!!

Crazy Paving

Posted by Kim in Family at 10:37 pm | Permanent Link

Another beautiful day…unfortunately I spent most of it at work.

Megan spent the day at her Nans. Meg and Jamie had had a very artistic
afternoon drawing chalk pictures on every paving slab in the garden.
They literally let their imaginations run wild…it was very impressive.

And for once the product did exactly what it said on the box and was
washed away very easily with the hose ready for the next big art attack.

Getting Warmer

Posted by Kim in Family at 8:40 pm | Permanent Link

The weather is definitely getting better…let’s hope it stays for
a while. Supposed to be getting better tomorrow…don’t want to go
into work 🙁

Megan has been working on her sponsored helping jobs list today. She
is taking part in a sponsored childrens marathon challenge through
Rainbows. She has to complete 26 jobs for me in her 2 week holiday
period. She pushed the total jobs up to 7 today so she should easily
reach her target. She helped her Grandad to mow his lawn today
although she did abandon him twice when they disturbed two frogs 🙂

Megan did some painting outside this afternoon which makes a nice
change from being stuck indoors. She’s actually nearly finished a
painting, wow!

Work Work Work

It’s getting alot busier at work now, which I must admit I prefer,
the day goes alot quicker…it’s just that I don’t seem to be getting
through it. Files are hitting my desk quicker than I can get them off.
I had to start a new pile on the floor today, no room left on my desk!

I went to see Matrix Reloaded this weekend, very impressive and I didn’t
need any of it explaining this time…bonus 🙂

Sun!!

Posted by Kim in General at 9:34 pm | Permanent Link

The sun came out today so we made the most of it.

We got the garden tidied up and the rest of Meg’s flowers planted out.
I got a pleasant surprise when my neighbour cut my hedge when they did
their own…saved me a job.

We did a little shopping, Megan has out grown another pair of trainers!!
Then Megan and Jamie showed me round Vernon Park, I haven’t been there
for a while, the Council have made a really good job of it. Megan
managed to fall over again…what a surprise!!

Holidays Again!!

Posted by Kim in General at 9:18 pm | Permanent Link

Megan is off school again already…they weren’t even back in three full
weeks this time. Well at least she won’t have nits for two weeks…there
is an epidemic at school at the moment, I’m lucky if Meg goes three days
in school without catching them again. The school can’t do anything
anymore, so Megan has to put up with the daily ritual of checking her
hair…which naturally she is getting very fed up with…as am I, I can’t
stand anywhere near her without automatically checking her hair!

Talking of bugs…apparently an ant always falls over on it’s right side
when drunk…didn’t know that!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Posted by Kim in General at 9:36 pm | Permanent Link

Hands up everyone who sick of the rain…I’ve had enough of getting soaked
taking Megan into school and picking her up, then watching it clear up every
evening when it too late to do anything.

Never mind Big brother starts tomorrow…yes I’m a people watcher. If I
don’t watch it I haven’t a clue what everyone is talking about at work…
that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it 🙂
